Debt

How'd you go with your New Years resolutions? Did you follow through or are they long forgotten?

On January 1st Sailesh Darshan made a choice. Inspired by one of his mentors, he decided to fast. And for 45 days he did just that. Along with meditation and remaining silent, he withdrew himself from his senses. The Sanskrit word for this process is called pratyahara.

He did it to make a change, a change in himself. And his bold  initiative has inspired me and a lot of others around me, to also make some changes.

He's shone some light on a path that few of us even knew was there, let alone had the courage to travel it.

But now I know I'm ready, ready for a change and ready to face the unknown. But most of all I'm finally ready to let go.

I'm finally ready to let go of the past, and to stop creating a future, a future
that's stymied by fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of failure and most of all, the fear of being judged.

Losing the fear of what others think and embracing your own unique and varied talents, is one of the most liberating processes you can act upon. And for that, I am eternally in your debt.
