It's when she's a littler darker,
that she can sometimes be
her most beautiful.
In the early light of dawn
and those last few rays of dusk,
she can flash you a smile
of such raw perfection,
that you're stunned to silence.
It's beyond what any lens
or paintbrush
can capture.
Only a few well penned,
humble words in her honor,
might get close.
Nature experienced,
in those pared back softly lit seconds,
of perfect light.
Can break you.
They can tear apart your you,
and move you....
to breathe in fully,
for the first time.
To open your eyes fully
and see properly,
for the first time.
In those rare,
priceless seconds,
we get a glimpse,
of maybe why God
created all of this
in the first place.
Why He gave birth to it all,
and why he'll never give up on us all.
The gratitude felt,
in these brief moments of clarity,
might drops us
and break us open.
Maybe for the first time,
we'd capture,
the tiniest fraction,
of what it might feel like,
to truly love this moment,
The whole lot of it.
with every God-gifted soul,
organism and element in it.
Just the briefest instant,
is all we need,
to be fully awake and open,
to it all...
