Neither elated nor dejected,
happy, wether honored or rejected,
the name of Allah always danced,
upon his lips.
Self-realization was his sole concern,
therefore his stomach was calm
and never churned.
While the world slumbered,
he remained unencumbered.
And when the world was awake,
he didn't partake.
Though he never traveled far,
he knew of every single star.
He always abided in the self,
he was Sat Chit Ananda, itself.
He had conquered all worldly existence
and he was the quintessence,
of every known essence.
He was meek and humble
and egoless
and he never cared much,
for how he was dressed.
His heart was as clear as a mirror
and he desired for nothing
but, our best.
Self-realization was his sole concern,
as for opposites he could not discern.
His mind was a pool of serenity
and peace was his true identity.
His vow of silence was never broken, though he recounted hundreds of stories, per day.
Rich or poor, mattered none to him,
for he saw through, this worldly play.
His speech always rained golden nectar, for he was as generous,
as generous could be.
He was a storehouse,
of unfathomable wisdom,
for he is the Lord of everything we see.
